Make a Difference in the Cape Flats.

Introducing Generosity for Humanity

Generosity for Humanity (GFH) is a non-profit organisation or NPO. They support urban communities affected by unemployment and poverty through nutritional community feeding, urban farming, and youth development initiatives.

The organisation started as an informal and voluntary group of concerned citizens in South Africa. They acted in response to the rapid need for food relief on the Cape Flats. This happened due to the national lockdown as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.

GFH’s group embarked on feeding hot meals to as many vulnerable citizens. By 2022, they have already fed 421,958 hot meals, in particular to the infirm, elderly, and children.

Our Vision

The organisation is to develop an empowered, vibrant community supported by both local and international philanthropic groups to create positive activities and initiatives that will unlock the potential and improve the lives of impoverished children, youth, women, and the community at large.

Our Mission

We are committed to assisting in building a better society in our impoverished communities. This is by creating self-sustainable initiatives, feeding the vulnerable and the hungry, and creating support systems and services to facilitate projects that emanate from charity and philanthropic ventures we undertake with and for our communities.

We do this by seeking funding from local and international businesses, local and national governments, NGO, and NPOs.

We believe in organisational autonomy. We are non-partisan, non-sectarian, and independent in the way we serve our community. By doing so, we believe we are preserving the autonomy, dignity, and rights of the communities we serve.
